2/2/2018 · Price Momentum Oscillator (PMO): That brings us to the PMO. While it may appear almost the same as both of the above indicators; there are subtle differences. I'll leave the MACD out of this discussion as it is unbounded and very different from the PMO. The PPO is best compared to the PMO because it is similarly bounded.
11/21/2018 · Alright, below I've got three long-term daily charts that cover four bear markets. What I've found is that the PMO on the SPX gets down below -2 and then on its return back up, it tops and produces a SELL signal below the zero line. I also note that major PMO bottoms continually move lower and lower. To decide on the parameters for max, and how many days ago, you should probably look at a few charts to see how PMO tends to behave. Unfortunately, there will probably be a pretty wide variation, so any choices you make will be a compromise. Select the PMO Line option and click insert Select the PMO Signal option and click insert Edit the two lines so Line and Signal are on the same line. Delete everything between the two indicators and put in an "x" between them ("x" is the cross above operator) Leave in the first "[" bracket and the last "]" bracket and delete the others A PMO bottom is one of the first signs we get that a new up trend may be at hand, and action in the very short-term may be considered. It would be convenient if every PMO bottom was a sure thing, but, of course, that is not the case.
